Stephanie Walker is an Adelaide-based emerging artist working primarily in oil pastels. Her work explores expressive colour, layered mark-making and organic forms inspired by animals, birds and botanical subjects found in the natural world.

Developing her work through intuitive drawing, Stephanie often creates small series that allow themes to evolve across multiple pieces. Lions, birds, florals and water lilies appear as recurring subjects, explored through energetic lines and vibrant colour palettes that emphasise movement, emotion and symbolic presence within nature.

Working with oil pastel allows Stephanie to embrace spontaneity and texture in her process. Each piece is built through layered marks that reflect observation, curiosity and personal reflection, resulting in compositions that feel bold, playful and alive.

Based in Adelaide, Stephanie is currently developing her first body of exhibited work while continuing to explore oil pastel as a dynamic medium for expressive drawing.
